Free Live Virtual Workshops
These programs are offered to help Pacific County businesses strengthen their services with additional tools and strategies for surviving this economic crisis. Available to all Pacific County Businesses. More info found here.
Provide 1:1 business coaching and technical assistance to Pacific County business owners to support their business in pivoting during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This support will also help their business stabilize, prepare them to apply for funds, and access other resources they may need to recover. Available to all Pacific County Businesses with 10 employees or less. More info found here.
PCEDC Membership Scholarship
Pacific County small businesses impacted by COVID-19 may apply for a one-year membership scholarship in the Pacific County Economic Development Council. Available to all Pacific County Businesses with 10 employees or less. Application can be found here.
Support for Economic Development Non-Profits
These programs are offered to help Pacific County businesses strengthen their services with additional tools and strategies for surviving this economic crisis.
Emergency Response Small Business Grants
PCEDC plans to assist as many Pacific County small businesses as possible, and will award all available funds to eligible applicants. Grants will typically be awarded in increments of $2500, $5000, or $10,000 (Maximum) to cover allowable business losses incurred due to COVID-19, between the dates of March 1, 2020 and October 1, 2020. Total grant funding to be awarded in Pacific County is $126,814. More details below …
To be eligible for consideration, qualifying small businesses must:
- Employ 20 or fewer employees
- Be licensed to do business in Washington State
- Have been in business at least 6 months in Washington
- Have not received $5000 or more in previous emergency grants.
- Business has been impacted by COVID-19
- If selected for an award, a successful business must be able to answer “yes” to the following questions:
- The expense is connected to the COVID-19 emergency.
- The expense is “necessary” to continue business operations.
- Funds may not be used to pay a shortfall in government revenues (i.e. taxes, licenses, state, county, federal and/or city fees).
- The business will self–attest that the expense is not funded by any other funder, whether private, state or federal.
Washington Department of Commerce Commerce has funded a second round of $10 million in grants to support small businesses with 20 or fewer employees statewide. Grant amounts will not exceed $10,000 total per business and is made possible by the Federal CARES Act.
Only economic development nonprofits, who serve businesses as their purpose are eligible and encouraged to apply (i.e. Chambers of Commerce). Nonprofit organizations who serve the community in other ways are not eligible for this funding.
